Steven A. Quigley is an at-large member of the Valley View School District 365U Board of Education in Illinois. He was first elected to the board in 2007.[1]

Quigley ran for re-election in the general election on April 7, 2015.[2] He ran with a slate of candidates under the name "Friends of Valley View." He teamed up with challengers Diane Parro and James "JT" Boudouris to support each other's candidacies and ask voters to put all three of them on the board.[3] He successfully won another term on the board, and the members of his slate also won seats on the board.[4]

Quigley works as a legislative affairs director for Common Wealth Edison ComEd. He previously worked as executive director of the Will County Governmental League. Quigley earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University.[5]

Three of the seven at-large seats on the Valley View School District 365U Board of Education were up for general election on April 7, 2015. The seats held by incumbents Steven A. Quigley, Richard "Rick" Gougis III and Leo Venegas were on the ballot. Gougis did not file for re-election, and Venegas was removed from the ballot by the Will County Electoral Board, which left Quigley as the sole incumbent in this race. He faced challengers James "JT" Boudouris, Sally Clemens Guilbo and Diane Parro.

Quigley won re-election to his seat, and Parro and Boudouris joined him on the board.

Funding

School board candidates in Illinois are only required to file campaign finance reports if they accept contributions or make expenditures in excess of $5,000 in a 12-month period.[6]

Quigley began the race with an existing account balance of $2,000.00 from his previous campaign. He reported $4,500.00 in contributions and $445.00 in expenditures to Illinois State Board of Elections, which left his campaign with $6,055.00 in the election.[7]
