Steven J. Cahill is a Seventh Judicial District judge for Clay County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position in 2006 and was elected to a full term in 2008.[1] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in 2020.[2]

Cahill ran for re-election to the Seventh Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on August 12, 2014, receiving 40.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Terry Graff, Cheryl R. Duysen and Kenneth J. Kohler.
General: He defeated Kenneth J. Kohler in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 51.1 percent of the vote. [2][3]

Cahill received his B.A. degree from Winona State College in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1976.[1]
