Steven J. Cahill is a Seventh Judicial District judge for Clay County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position in 2006 and was elected to a full term in 2008.[1] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in 2020.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the primary on August 12, 2014, receiving 40.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Terry Graff, Cheryl R. Duysen and Kenneth J. Kohler.
General: He defeated Kenneth J. Kohler in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 51.1 percent of the vote.

Cahill received his B.A. degree from Winona State College in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1976.[1]
