As a 35-year-old entrepreneur and resident of Southwest Atlanta, Steven is running to bring a new generation of leadership to the City of Atlanta - leadership that puts people first, prioritizes public safety, invests in education, and creates real pathways for opportunity.

Steven's campaign is rooted in a clear vision: safer streets, stronger schools, and a thriving small business community that empowers local families to build and maintain economic stability. He is committed to attracting new industries and creating jobs right here in District 11. Steven's focus is on building a safer, smarter, and more prosperous Southwest Atlanta, for current residents and future generations alike.

Steven knows that real change doesn't start at City Hall - it starts in the neighborhoods. With a deep understanding of the issues facing Atlanta's working families, and a passion for service fueled by real experience, Steven Dingle is ready to fight for District 11's future and make sure no one is left behind.

It's time for leadership that listens, leadership that's strong, and leadership that lives the experiences of the people it serves. Steven Dingle is ready to be that leader for District 11.
  • Public safety is a top priority. One can't serve a city, they can't protect.
  • Education is the foundation of a great society. Ensuring our children and anyone who wants to pursue an education has the proper resources and environment is of absolute importance.
  • Increasing the economic prosperity of District 11 is mandatory. More small businesses and entrepreneurship, as well as infrastructure that improves the lives Southwest Atlantans, as well as provide quality jobs and opportunity.
I am personally passionate about literacy. I am an avid reader and believe everyone should be able to read at an exceptional level.
I appreciate how intimate this office is in relationship to the community. The position requires that leadership maintains a tightly knit relationship with its constituents in order to be successful
I never had to look too far for inspiration. My own family members were the most influential in my life. My late father, Jerry Dingle is my hero. His brother and my uncle, the late Larry Dingle. Non-related inspirations are Mayor Maynard Jackson, Herman J. Russell, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz a.k.a. Malcolm X, and President Jimmy Carter.
Fims: "Maynard", "Bo Legs: Marvin Arrington Sr."

Books: "Building Atlanta" by Herman J. Russell, "Jimmy Carter: A Full Life" by Jimmy Carter

Speech: "The Ballot of the Bullet" by Malcolm X
Loyalty to their constituents, relentlessness, drive, passion, and care for one's community.
I am relentless when it comes to accomplishing goals. I have an overwhelming amount of love and care for my community. I listen. I am efficient. I am empathetic, I am determined.
To do the will of the people and provide as much information as possible to make the best decisions on behalf of the community.
I want to leave of legacy of resilience. No matter what life threw at me, I handled it with precision and grace, and I hope that it inspires others to do the same.
The unfortunate events of 9/11 2001 is my fondest memory. The impact that had on the entire nation, I will never forget. The way the country banded together, is a feeling I will remember forever.
My first job was Zaxby's. I worked there throughout high school. I worked every non-manegerial position in the establishment.
"An American Marriage" by Tayari Jones. This book is written by a Southwest Atlanta native and a Spelmanite. She captures the culture of Atlanta and the AUC so well. The characters are so robust, while the plot keeps your attention at every page. It's the book that I recommend every chance I get.
Losing my father in September of 2014.
Beneficial? Of course. A necessity? Absolutely not. A public servant's first attribute should be unwavering care of one's community.
