Steven Kosach
Steven Kosach was a Department 8 judge on the Nevada Second Judicial District Court. He retired from the bench on September 10, 2012.[1]
Education
Judge Kosach earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1972.[2]
Career
After graduating from college, Judge Kosach was an Infantry Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam as an Infantry Commander. He received the Silver Star for Heroism, three Bronze Stars for Valor, the Purple Heart, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Following law school, Judge Kosach worked in the Sacramento District Attorney's Office until 1974, when he joined the Reno City Attorney's Office. He worked in private practice from 1976 to 1990, and became a member of the bench in 1991.[2]
