Steven Rau
Steven E. Rau was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He was appointed to the court and took the oath of office on January 14, 2011.[1] He left office when he died on November 8, 2019.[2]
Education
Rau received his undergraduate degree from Carleton College and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.[1]
Career
Rau was a partner with the firm Flynn, Gaskins, Bennett, LLP from 2000 to 2011. Previously, he was an attorney with the firm Lindquist & Vennum. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Douglas K. Amdahl.[1]
