Steven L. Reed is the Mayor of Montgomery in Alabama. He assumed office on November 12, 2019. His current term ends in 2027.
Reed ran for re-election for Mayor of Montgomery in Alabama. He won in the general election on August 22, 2023.
Reed was a judge of the Montgomery County Probate Court in Alabama. He was elected in 2012, defeating incumbent Reese McKinney. He ran unopposed for re-election in 2018. Reed resigned from the court after he was elected mayor of Montgomery.[1][2]
Reed is affiliated with the Democratic Party.[3][4]
Biography
Reed received a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College in 1996 and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University in 2004. Reed previously worked as a financial analyst, lobbyist, and senior aide to Alabama Lt. Gov. Jim Folsom, Jr. (D).[4][5][6]
