Stevon Cook was an at-large seat on the San Francisco Unified School District school board in California. Cook won election in 2016. He did not seek re-election in 2020.

Four of the seven seats on the San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. In their bids for re-election, incumbents Matthew Haney, Rachel Norton, and Jill Wynns ran against challengers Stevon Cook, Rob Geller, Ian Kalin, Phillip Kim, Trevor McNeil, and Mark Sanchez.[1] Haney and Norton won re-election, and Sanchez and Cook won the other two seats on the ballot.[2]

Cook reported $42,786.31 in contributions and $33,426.39 in expenditures to the San Francisco Ethics Commission, which left his campaign with $9,359.92 on hand as of October 22, 2016.[3]

Endorsements

Cook was endorsed by the San Francisco Democratic Party, the United Educators of San Francisco, and the community organization Evolve.[4][5][6]

The election in San Francisco Unified featured three seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election.

Two at-large incumbents, Emily M. Murase and Hydra Mendoza-McDonnell, ran for re-election. Murase, Mendoza-McDonnell and challenger Shamann Walton won election to the three seats by defeating Stevon Cook, Lee Hsu, Trevor McNeil, Mark Murphy, Jamie Rafaela Wolfe and Dennis Yang.
