Stewart H. Weinstein
Stewart H. Weinstein was a judge for the Kings County Family Court in New York. He was first appointed to the family court in October of 1990 to serve in New York County. He was reappointed in 2000 and 2010.[1]
Biography
Education
Weinstein received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law in 1976.[1]
Career
Weinstein began his career in 1977 as a staff attorney of the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division. He was promoted to Deputy Director of Training of that division in 1983 and then served as the Director of Training from 1985 until 2000. He also taught briefly in 1983 as an adjunct professor of Bloomfield College. In 1990, he was appointed to the Family Court, serving first in New York County and then in Kings County.[1]
