Meyer has stated that he seeks to improve rural medical and ambulance service, as well as tighten partnerships between state and local law enforcement officers. On partisanship, he has said, "No person or party has all the right answers and I will work with the other 100 State Representatives, 48 Senators, and all other elected officials despite their party registration to better our state. I want to see District 51 thrive and succeed and the only way that will happen is to pass good policies and work to defeat those which will cause us harm."[5]
