A City of Stockton Utility User Tax Proposal, Measure U ballot question was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Stockton in San Joaquin County, California, where it was approved.
Measure U adopted an ordinance that extended the utility user tax in the City of Stockton so that it applies to more different types of technology than was the case before it was approved.
The Measure U tax was projected to raise about $11.7 million each year for Stockton.
