I am a liberty and constitution loving American. In the past decade I have served my town of Cavendish as a select board member, a public school board member, a Justice of the Peace, a member of the board of civil authority and as chairman of the Cavendish Fire District 2 prudential committee. I am currently an active member of the Cavendish Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. It is my intention to take my experience in local government to represent my fellow Vermonters in the state legislature.
  • I am an unapologetic defender of the United States Bill of Rights in our constitution. Your liberty is my priority.

  • Everyone is Essential.
  • All life is Precious.
I am deeply concerned about the erosion of our First Amendment rights to free speech and our right to a redress of grievances with our government.

To read and defend the constitution that they swear an oath to defend. Article 18 of the Vermont Constitution spells this out clearly. Article 18. [Regard to fundamental principles and virtues necessary to preserve liberty]
That frequent recurrence to fundamental principles, and a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, industry, and frugality, are absolutely necessary to preserve the blessings of liberty, and keep government free; the people ought, therefore to pay particular attention to these points, in the choice of officers and representatives, and have a right, in a legal way, to exact a due and constant regard to them, from their legislators and magistrates, in making and executing such laws as are necessary for the good government of the State.
Preservation of liberty and to follow the constitution. Don't waste the taxpayers hard earned money.
If the governor acts in accordance with their oath of office then the legislature should do their best to support the governor. If the governor does not act in accordance with this oath the legislature should act as a check and balance to the governor.
Vermont's greatest challenge over the next decade include a huge labor shortage, a terrible lack of affordable housing, lack of affordability for working men and women, high taxation, misplaced government priorities and the opioid epidemic.
None. The more checks and balances in the government the better off the average citizen will be.
No. The state of Vermont has lot's of experienced legislators in office right now. They are experienced at wasteful spending, growing state bureaucracies and having no accountability for their actions.
Yes. Absolutely. Communication of ideas that are constitutional and maintain the liberty of the people is essential.
Cola Hudson (R) of Lyndon, Vermont. Tom Burditt(R)of West Rutland, Cynthia Browning (D) of Bennington County
In my interactions in the community as both a fire fighter and a home heating service technician I am struck by the number of elderly people struggling alone with no support system of family and friends. They are living in dire situations. As a community Vermonters must do better.

I am also concerned about the number of young Vermonters who are leading aimless lives and exhibit a sense of hopelessness about their lives. I can't help but this is why so many have drawn into the world of drug addiction. This must change.

There exists so much need in our communities. Those of us that are doing a bit better need only look next door to offer help and kindness. The state government and federal government are clearly not up to the task of keeping our friends and neighbors from falling through the cracks.
I believe that every elected official in the United States takes an oath to the uphold and defend the constitution. If an elected official can compromise without violating this oath then they may do so. Compromising the citizen's rights as defined by the constitution for political expedience is not necessary or desirable.
