Stuart Raphael is a judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals. Raphael assumed office on September 1, 2021. Raphael's current term ends on August 31, 2029.
The Virginia General Assembly elected Raphael to the court on August 10, 2021, to fill a seat created by Senate Bill 1261, which increased the court from 11 to 17 judges.[1][2]
Biography
Prior to joining the court, Raphael was a partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth and the former solicitor general of Virginia.[3]
