Su Chon and James Blanch confirmed to 3rd District Court

Utah: Earlier this week judicial nominee Su Chon failed to receive an endorsement from the Senate confirmation committee, but today both nominees, Chon and James Blanch, were confirmed to the Utah Third Judicial District. Some of the committee decided not to endorse Chon, claiming she lacked experience, but Governor Gary R. Herbert stood behind his nominee.

Today the Senate voted 17 to 10 confirming Chon as one of the two new Third District judges.[3]
