- Experienced Leader and Fiscally Responsible. GJPS is currently in the midst of a $250 million dollar building project which needs consistent financial oversight and guidance. Our new high school will open in January of 2026 and have 3 additional projects that need completed by the end of 2027. In addition, school funding is currently an issue within the state of Ohio. The state did not fully fund the fifth and sixth year of the Fair School Funding Plan. As a result, we need consistent financial leadership within the district to manage through the frequent changes from both a state and federal level.
- Organizational Efficiency and Data Driven. GJPS is the second year of the Strategic Plan. Consistent leadership is needed to continue to rollout the initiatives within the strategic plan. A large focus for this year is organization efficiency and strengthening our data integrity whereby we can implement efficiencies throughout the district. As a result, we can ensure that our taxpayers continue to get an excellent return on their investment and students and teachers get the resources, tools and support they need to succeed.
- Student Achievement: Rise to Five. Our plan is to become a top 5 district by 2030. As a district we have changed start times to align with proven scientific research for student development, switched to block scheduling at the high school and introduced new curriculum in our elementary math and language arts.
