I am a long-time Alaskan, graduated from Juneau High School and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I have lived and advocated in my district for over 20 years. We are in a fiscal crisis. Businesses are closing, unemployment is going up and our schools are off-and-on due to Covid 19. And nothing is going to change quickly. Right now, it's a matter of money. I spent five years as senior staff on Senate Finance Committee. I know how to make every single dollar count. I will hit the ground running to get our state back on track!
I served on the State Senate Finance Committee as Senior Staff for 5 years. I understand budgets and I will work to reduce state spending through sensible, sustainable and realistic cuts to the budget.
My experience working in the legislature, my work on infrastructure projects across Alaska and my genuine desire to make Alaska's future brighter!
That I was able to make a difference and help save our state from bankruptcy.
Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman. It the poetry is beautiful and makes me feel in tune with nature.
Yes! It is important that legislators work together to solve Alaska's fiscal crisis. Our legislators are elected to serve the people of Alaska not political parties.
A fair and equitable process that does not disenfranchise voters.
The Finance Committee. My experience working with the Senate Finance Committee for 5 years makes me uniquely qualified to serve on the House Finance Committee.
