Campaign themes
2014
Stringer's Facebook page explained her campaign themes for 2014:
“ |
I am humbled by the faith the voters have placed in me. Now, the real work begins. I intend to remain true to my commitment to the students and taxpayers of Alvin ISD by always asking these two questions: 1.) Does this item we are about to consider have an educational value? 2.) Can the taxpayers afford it? If we cannot answer both questions with a “yes,” then there is no need to go any further. At the heart of it all, Alvin ISD Trustees must believe, unequivocally, in the value of public education. We must be dedicated to serving and teaching all children and to understand that our role is to act strategically, in line with the interests of the entire school community. |
