Sue Tiernan is the Region 1 member of the West Chester Area Board of Directors in Pennsylvania. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015. She filed to run in both the Democratic and Republican primaries. She won the nomination in the Democratic primary and advanced to the general election. Sue Tiernan won the general election on November 3, 2015.[1][2]

Tiernan is a retired educator and school administrator. She is a volunteer with Community Volunteers in Medicine.[3][4]

Five of the nine seats on the West Chester Area Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.

Incumbent Sue Tiernan (D) and challenger Kate Shaw (D) defeated Republican challengers Debra Maccariella and Vince Paul for two seats in Region 1. Republican candidates Karen Herrmann and Christopher Tabakin defeated Democratic candidates Samantha Bloom and Matthew Morley in Region 2. Gary Bevilacqua (D/R) defeated Matthew Illich in both the Democratic and Republican primaries, and won the Region 3 seat without opposition in the general election.[1][2]
