This measure sought to add to the current levy by a rate of $.18 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of three years in order to help pay for fire and emergency medical services in the unincorporated area of the township.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
An additional tax for the benefit of the unincorporated area or areas of Sugar Creek Township for the purpose of fire and EMS protection at a rate not exceeding 1.8 mills for each one dollar of variation, which amounts to eighteen cents ($0.18) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of three (3) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar 2013.[3] |
