Biography
Sukhbir Kaur was born in Dosanjh Kalan, India. She graduated from KV NO-1 Jalanadhar. She earned a bachelor's degree from the Apee Jay College of Fine Arts in 1995. Her career experience includes working in transportation, as a realtor, and in the travel and hospitality industry.[1]

I am a single Sikh woman- supporting herself. A travel professional for over 25 years,Realtor.I am passionate about Public safety & Health peace, sustainable development, Transparency and Accountability. And tourism. Since I purchased my Homestead in 2019 in UTSW medical district in District-2 . I have been working to improve the long overlooked neighborhood of Arlington park ,its parks ,street lights,,roads,alleys,recreation center, code enforcement and public safety and health. For myself residents nearby businesses. and visitors. I have made over 100 service calls at 311 and other entities to address the issues and followed back until it’s fixed and continue to do so. I was born in a Sikh family in Punjab India and legally immigrated in 1999. I am youngest of 4sisters and one brother. My mother has passed away and father lives with my eldest sister in California. I love children and see from their perspective.
Peace,Health and enforcement of Law is important to me .- Peace,Public Safety &Health,Sustainable Development,Affordability ,Public knowledge & awareness. Lower property taxes and rents are important for a healthy economy ,neighborhoods and businesses to thrive.
- At any income levels- we all can make a difference in our lives, communities and neighborhoods.
- Knowledge,Honestly ,Integrity & courage to take action for good of the people is more important than how long a person has lived in a city or worked in the city hall .

As all city hall expenditures comes from the taxes collected from the real property owners and hotel occupancy tax revenues etc. Even grant from state and federal governments is from taxes collected from the people.
A healthy,safer and prosperous city make up the same for a state and legal system.
Including my parents. I take inspiration from lots of people places things ,books.. Especially Sikh Scriptures. Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
My efforts are to bring in census data of
Marginalized communities like Sikhs Hindus Muslims parisis Jains Buddhists,Jews Christians. Zoharastrians and others from South Asia . Which are abused and taken advantage of . And spread awareness of the laws of the land and their rights at every level of government and society.
Especially Sikh scripture- SHRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI .
My mom used to tell us a a kid . How important it is to listen, be aware and talk less ..
