|Growing up in a hardworking family who benefited from quality, affordable public education, I’ve worked hard to preserve that for our community at Long Beach City College.
As a Senior Civil Engineer with a Master’s Degree at the Port of Long Beach and over twenty-five years in the Construction and Environmental sectors, I’ve overseen $2,500,000,000 in public contracts and saved over $12,000,000 through improved contracting.
I’ve put this strong financial background to work and helped secure more resources for classrooms to educate students and train our local workforce, while recovering savings for taxpayers.
My accomplishments include:
Ensuring a safe learning environment for students; Helping save the taxpayers $38,000,000; Supporting $2,100,000 in student debt forgiveness during the pandemic; Supporting investment of a $30,000,000 gift in students; Supporting good paying local jobs for over $495,000,000 in construction projects until 2041; Supporting partnerships with 400 businesses in hiring/mentoring students; Restoring vocational education, construction, and training programs; Supported housing for over 750 homeless students; Providing low-cost courses for seniors.
I humbly ask for your vote. If you have any questions, please contact me at (562) 270-5017.- Ensure Access to Affordable Quality Education
- Expansion of Vocational Programs
- High Skill Workforce Training and entry to good paying jobs
Continuing to helping save taxpayers dollars and investment in students and community;
Continue to support good paying local jobs for our $1.3 Billion in construction projects
Continuing partnerships with businesses in hiring/mentoring students;
Expanding vocational education, construction, and training programs;
Supported housing for our homeless students;
Supporting access to education and jobs for formerly incarcerated youth and adults;
