A Superior Town Alternative Expenditure proposition was approved on the May 21, 2013, election ballot in Pinal County, which is in Arizona.

This measure authorized the Town of Superior to extend its alternative expenditure limitation for four more years instead of being subject to state dictated expenditure limitations.

Question on the ballot:

“

Pursuant to the Arizona State Constitution, this proposal extends the alternative expenditure limitation for the Town of Superior for the next four years. Annually, the Town Council will determine the amount of the alternative expenditure limitation for the fiscal year after at least one public hearing. This alternative expenditure limitation replaces the state-imposed expenditure limitation. A “YES” vote shall have the effect of extending an alternative expenditure limitation for the Town of Superior. A “NO” vote shall have the effect of not allowing the Town of Superior to continue an alternative expenditure limitation and to require expenditures of the Town to be limited by the state-imposed expenditure limit.
