I have been a California resident for 35 years. I raised my family here and enjoyed a 30+ year career in managing surgical centers and medical practices.

I’m currently a board member on the Neighborhood Council, Chair of the Public Safety Committee, and a member of the Community Police Advisory Board. In addition, I have been an active member of the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association for many years. I attend and participate in community meetings and events throughout the city because I know that what happens across town, will happen in my community.

I was one of the first to bring attention actively and relentlessly to our city and state’s need to address our ongoing mental illness and addiction crisis. I’ve never wavered when others continued to push the false narrative that the crisis we’re witnessing was due almost entirely to a lack of affordable housing. I’ve continued to advocate making long term, inpatient treatment available, providing pathways to independence, as well as providing permanent supportive housing for those in need of assistance.

I will bring knowledge, experience, integrity, and respect for every member of our community into the legislative process, providing solutions that empower communities to thrive and enhance the quality of life for everyone.

  • Common sense should guide the process in determining solutions to problems. The outcome should leave both sides of an issue feeling as though the resolution is a win / win.
  • We need to restore the safety and wellbeing of every community in this state. Safety is a cornerstone of our society and without it many other areas begin to fail. When people aren't safe to shop or dine out, businesses close, we have fewer jobs, and people move to other states. Every community deserves to be safe and we must make that our goal.
  • It's unconscionable to leave people to suffer on our streets. Most of us agree that housing alone will not solve the homeless crisis, but very few of our elected leaders are willing to stand up for those who no longer have the ability to ask for, or accept the help they need. Too many people are languishing and dying on our streets. It is our responsibility to ensure they receive the necessary help, and to ensure this support is delivered in a way that renews the safety and well-being for the entire community.

Elected officials should have a genuine desire to serve the public for no other reason but to improve the quality of life for every community. They should view each member of the community as they would their own family member. They need courage to do what is right even when others in office make it difficult.
I'm compassionate, honest, caring and a hard worker. I am open to constructive criticism, and willing to learn from others.
Elected officials must understand that one size never fits all well. It's our duty to listen to each community and craft legislation that provides an adaptive framework that supports communities and provides them with the maximum potential to thrive.
I'd like to know that I had a positive impact on the people and community I leave behind.
My very first job was babysitting. I worked for several families through out junior high and Highschool. I also worked at the local ice cream shop.
Angela's Ashes. My mother grew up in Ireland during the same period of time that the book is based on. It gave me a better understanding of who my mother was and why.

We're elected by the people, paid by the people, to serve the people - we need to be 100% transparent and accountable to those people.

As a single mother, it is important to me to be involved in my community. When the issue of building homeless shelters near our schools was presented, I was concerned. I turned to our local leaders for information, but I was given misleading information and lies.

There are solutions to many of the problems Los Angeles is currently facing, but our leadership continues to lead us down the wrong path. We need to implement plans that restore our community's safety, by providing solutions for homelessness that addresses the root causes. We must support local businesses and economic growth, support our law enforcement, provide a sustainable increase in affordable housing,

In an effort to ensure that my neighborhood has access to truthful, unbiased information regarding all plans proposed for our community, I co-founded an online community bulletin. I attend and participate in our neighborhood council meetings and home-owners association meetings, and other council meetings in surrounding areas. I have researched and met with several homeless housing and care providers in order to establish best practices that ensure effective outcomes. I have worked as a volunteer on Skid Row, and I am advocate for the protection of animals, and our environment. I participate in the ongoing meetings with the FAA and community members that are affected by the change in flight paths. I've researched and met with traffic mapping app programmers to find effective solutions to Los Angeles.
  • Implementing effective, truthful and non biased community outreach that will ensure that my community has representation that reflects their views, not just special interest groups.
  • I am the only candidate addressing the homelessness crisis with common sense solutions that provides care for people in need and also restores the surrounding communities safety and security
  • Restoring the public's trust and faith in their government and their representation
