The November 4, 2014, general election in Brownsville Independent School District featured three seats up for election. The Position 1 race included five candidates. Incumbent Cesar Lopez ran against Roland L. Guerra, Armando Rodriguez, Juan N. Pacheco and Luci B. Longoria. Longoria was the Position 4 incumbent, however since candidates can change the position they run for at the time of filing, she opted to run for Position 1 instead. In the Position 2 race, Carlos Elizondo, Robert Rodriguez and Susan Fox ran for the seat of deceased board member Enrique Escobedo. In the Position 4 race, Joe Rodriguez, Shirley Ann Bowman and Mary Rey competed for Longoria's seat.
