|- I am running because the legislature has become disengaged from the voters and has not addressed issues that are important to the people at home. They are responsive to wealthy and powerful organizations from out of state and are passing legislation that is to the benefit of these organizations.
- State elected officials cannot have much effect in national or international politics; however if they would attend to the practical matters in their communities, they can positively affect the lives of people in their districts.
- Northeastern North Carolina for years has been left behind by its elected officials and lacks the basic infrastructure that it needs to grow and thrive. My priority is to put Northeastern North Carolina first and direct resources so that this region can reach its potential.
