Harris ran for election to the Kerr County Court at Law.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 47.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Gordon S. Morriss, Rob Kelly and Pat Maguire.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Harris faced Maguire in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She won, earning 66.0% of the vote.
General: She won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014.
