Campaign website
Hathaway-Altman’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
The United States is in a sharp decline….morally, economically and with our local and national security. Working men and women have been forgotten. They cannot make ends meet. Most Americans are reliant on credit cards to afford the lives they once lived comfortably in. America itself is under attack from within. Suburban neighborhoods are becoming unsafe. Taxes are on the rise. Inflation continues to skyrocket. Our Southern border is wide open to criminals and toxic drugs. And our national debt is racking up - tens of trillions - for the first time ever, with no relief in sight. All of this happened to us in the last 3 years….voting has consequences – it can destroy our calm, peaceful, and affordable lives. As Americans striving for change, we only have one choice – to put our differences aside, rise above all of the rhetoric, and be part of the solution to build a Better America. My name is Susan Hathaway-Altman, and I am running for Congress. And I am here to assure you that better days are coming. Like Ronald Reagan once said, “It’s morning again in America again” and it is time that we become prouder, stronger and better! I will lead the charge to pull us out of this free-fall, and on to the road to a better America. If you know me, you’ll know that I have an extremely hard work ethic, and I will work hard for you in Congress. I will use my business background and experiences to transform our country. I will author bills and support policies that will allow more people to own homes again, to work at higher paying jobs, to pay less interest on mortgages and credit cards, and to stamp out inflation for once and for all so that we can all have a chance at a prosperous and successful future. I will support law enforcement, so that they can do their jobs and we can regain safety in our neighborhoods. It may seem dismal now, but have faith, the only way out is to rise up and be part of the movement of change. Simply by voting for candidates like me and others that love America and love our state, and have the skills to create policies that are meaningful to normal, everyday people – you will be part of the change. I promise to always uphold our Constitution, it's Rights, Amendments, and Articles for you and your children and grandchildren, to keep the unique freedoms we have in America in tact for generations to come.
