Susan Knipps
Susan Knipps is a judge of the New York County Family Court.

Knipps was appointed to this position in August of 2004 and was reappointed in 2007. From 2004 to 2007, she was the Supervising Judge of the New York County Family Court.[1][2]
Education
Knipps received her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1977 and her J.D. from the Yale School of Law in 1981.[1]
Career
Knipps has worked as a law clerk for a federal court judge, an associate at a private law firm, an attorney with the Legal Aid Society and as deputy counsel to Chief Judge Judith Kaye. She was appointed to the New York City Civil Court in July of 2000. There she also served on the family court until August of 2004, when she was appointed a full-time family court judge. She has also served as an acting supreme court justice.[1][2][3]
