Susan Lebow
Susan Lebow was a Juvenile Dependency Division judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was appointed by former Governor Lawton Chiles on May 6, 1992. She was re-elected on November 2, 2010 to a six-year term that ended on January 2, 2017.[1][2][3]
Education
Lebow received her B.A. degree from Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1969. She then earned her J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1974 (after transferring from Emory University Law School).[4]
Career
Lebow began her career in 1974 as a sole practitioner. She worked in that capacity through 1984. She also served as a hearing officer in 1983 and 1984. Then, in January of 1985, she joined the Broward County Court bench, where she served until her elevation to the circuit court in May of 1992.[1][4]
2010 election
Lebow defeated Jill Tamkin Rafilovich in the primary election, winning 68.8% of the vote. She then ran unopposed in the general election on November 2nd.[5][2]
