Fredericksburg and particularly ward 3 is where my family and I have planted our roots, grown, and thrived. I am excited about the future of our City and confident that with genuine collaboration, we can overcome challenges and enact positive solutions. I aim to bring a practical solutions-focused approach combined with a friendly spirit and strong dedication to making decisions that truly reflect the values and needs of all our residents.

  • I believe that everyone in Fredericksburg deserves a place to call home. This requires a diverse range of housing options to meet the needs of all our families from affordable rentals to homes for first-time buyers, and options for seniors looking to downsize. Housing variety creates vibrant, mixed-income communities, and ensures that Fredericksburg remains a place where families can grow and build their lives, generation after generation.
  • I’m committed to Fredericksburg’s economic stability particularly amidst federal funding uncertainty. We’ll prioritize fiscal responsibility, diversify our economy, and build strong local partnerships. We should leverage alternate revenue streams to maximize tax revenue outside of residential property taxes. We should embrace opportunities to revitalize underutilized shopping centers, transforming them into vibrant, multi-use spaces that better serve the community. By repurposing these properties, we can attract new businesses, create housing opportunities, and foster economic growth while enhancing community spaces.
  • I believe strongly in meaningful work and fair living wages. Fredericksburg should be a place that supports working families and I aim to advance policies that advance this.

I am most passionate about neighborhoods and community. I believe that all people who live in Fredericksburg deserve representation and quality places to live, work, and play.

More than anything, I believe elected officials must have a heart for public service. I have only ever worked for the public sector and my motivation is always to advance the goal, not a profit.

My very first job was restoring antique wooden boats. I had that job for a few years in high school. This really launched my passion for heritage and historic preservation.
