2014
The November 4, 2014, general election in Del Valle Independent School District featured six seats up for election. The District 1 race was for a two-year term. Incumbent Ann Heuberger ran unopposed.
In the District 3 race, Charles W. Diggs Jr., Michael Valescu, and Charles Neira ran for the seat held by Julia Hankerson Diggs, who did not file for re-election. Diggs defeated Valescu and Neira in that race.
The District 5 race featured incumbent Nancy Wilhite and challenger Steven B. Hart. District 7 incumbent Susanna Woody, District 8 incumbent Darla Sullivent Wegner, and District 9 candidate Elvia Guadian were all running unopposed. District 9 incumbent David Mellenbruch did not file for re-election.
Results
As Woody was the only candidate to file for District 7, the board of trustees canceled the election and she was re-elected unopposed.[2]
Funding
Candidates must file reports with the Texas Ethics Commission or the appropriate county clerk. They must disclose the amount of each contribution (or the value and nature of any in-kind contribution), the name and address of the individual or political committee making the contribution and the date of the contribution. Filers must also report all expenditures, including the date of an expenditure, the name and address of the person to whom the expenditure is made and the purpose of the expenditure.[3]
