Suzanne Bass was a judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court. She left office on January 7, 2025.

Bass won re-election for judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.

Education

Bass received her B.A. degree (Political Science) from Emory University and her J.D. degree from the University of Richmond.[1]

Career

Bass began her career as an Assistant Public Defender under Mil Thomas. After three years, she became an assistant state attorney under Ed Austin, a position which she also held for three years. She was also employed by the Florida Coastal School of Law as an Adjunct Professor for a year and a half. Since 1984, she has worked as a self-employed private practice attorney.[1]

The general election was canceled. Suzanne Bass (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

Bass defeated incumbent Judge John Merrett with 59.2% of the vote in the primary on Aug. 14, 2012.[2][3]
