Suzanne Cohen
Suzanne Cohen is a judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Cohen ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. She won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
Cohen was initially appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) on December 14, 2012, effective January 2013, to replace retiring Judge John A. Buttrick.[1]
Biography
Cohen received her undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Women's College in 1989 and her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1997. Prior to her judicial appointment, Cohen worked in the following roles:
- 2000-2012: Deputy county attorney, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Phoenix, Arizona
- 1998-1999: Deputy district attorney, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, Blythe, Calif.
- 1997-1997: Law and motion intern, Marin County District Attorney’s Office, San Rafael, Calif.
- 1996-1996: Juvenile hall intern, San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, San Francisco, Calif.[1]
