Suzanne Geist
Suzanne Geist (Republican Party) was a member of the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 25. She assumed office on January 4, 2017. She left office on April 6, 2023.
Geist ran for election for Mayor of Lincoln in Nebraska. She lost in the general election on May 2, 2023.
Geist resigned from the Nebraska State Senate on April 6, 2023 in order to run for mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska.[1]
Biography
Suzanne Geist earned her degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Nebraska.[2] Her professional experience includes working as a small business owner and in pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and fashion. Geist has also served as the volunteer director at Clinic with a Heart and has been active in Lincoln Berean Church and Mercy City Church.[3]

Elections for the Nebraska State Senate were held in 2016. The primary election took place on May 10, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was February 16, 2016, for incumbents. Challengers were required to file by March 1, 2016.[4] Incumbent Kathy Campbell did not seek re-election because of term-limits.
