Suzanne Klapp
Suzanne Klapp was an at-large member of the Scottsdale City Council in Arizona. Klapp assumed office in 2009. Klapp left office on January 12, 2021.
Klapp ran for election for Mayor of Scottsdale in Arizona. Klapp lost in the primary on August 4, 2020.
Although elections for Scottsdale City Council are officially nonpartisan, Klapp is known to be a member of the Republican Party[1]
Biography
Klapp grew up in Evansville, Indiana. She obtained a B.A. in English and journalism from the University of Evansville and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Her professional experience includes owning and operating her own custom framing company and working for the Whirlpool Corporation.[2]

The mayor's office and three seats on the Scottsdale City Council were up for general election on November 8, 2016. No primary was held in 2016 because a primary is only necessary in Scottsdale when more than two candidates file for a particular seat.[3] Incumbent Suzanne Klapp, incumbent Virginia Korte, and incumbent Guy Phillips defeated Dan Schweiker in the Scottsdale City Council general election for three at-large seats.
