Sydnee Dickson
Sydnee Dickson was the Utah Superintendent of Public Instruction. Dickson left office on June 30, 2025.
Dickson began serving as interim superintendent in January 2016, when former Superintendent Brad C. Smith was on medical leave. She continued serving on an interim basis when Smith resigned on February 17, 2016.[1][2] The Utah State Board of Education later selected Dickson as Smith's permanent replacement on June 23, 2016.[3]
Dickson resigned as the Utah Superintendent of Public Instruction on June 30, 2025.[4]
Biography
Before being appointed Utah Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dickson served as the director of teaching and learning with the Utah State Office of Education. She began serving as director in 2007.[5]

- M.Ed. in school counseling and guidance services, University of Utah (1987)
- M.Ed. in educational leadership and administration, Brigham Young University (1992)
