Sydney Elkin was a probate judge for the West Hartford Probate District in Connecticut.[1] He began serving in 2002 and was re-elected without opposition in 2014. Elkin retired in October 2016 when he reached 70, the state's mandatory retirement age for judges.[2][3][4][5]

Elkin earned his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He also holds an M.A. from Trinity College.[2]
