Sylvia A. Valdez was a justice of the peace for Goliad County, Texas. Having served since 2007, she stepped down in July of 2012 with the intention of pursuing of a law degree.[1]
2010 election
Valdez defeated Republican Harold Martin in the general election, winning 53.56% of the vote.[2]
