I was born and raised here. Attended public schools, including Del Mar. I have two wonderful sons and 6 grandchildren. I want them to live, healthy, productive lives and remain here. I was a medical/insurance biller for 40 years, which meant standing up against insurance companies. I am an activist/community organizer For The Greater Good. I was a National Delegate for Bernie Sanders in 2020. I was a member of the Parks and Recreation for 8 years. I was President of the Corpus Christi Barrios Association. I collected 7k signatures to place Collective Bargaining on the Ballot for the Nueces County Deputies. I am VP of membership for the LWV. I was Chair of 12 thousand TREES for 2012. I am a member of DSA. We believe that the working people should run both the economy & society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We should place the people’s needs over Profits. We need to invest in our Neighborhood streets, sidewalks and lighting. We need to prioritize our parks, public spaces and libraries. We need a Fair Taxation System, that doesn’t give away our most prized assets, beginning with OUR WATER!
  • Residential streets, sidewalks and lighting
  • Fairness in Taxation.*No more tax abatements for large corporations or huge water discounts.
  • Protect our Jewel, The Bay and the Gulf of Mexico
We must end The Industrial District Agreements. It is robbing our city of much needed tax dollars. These were established almost 40 years ago and they no longer need our help. They should pay their fair share.

They should also pay 100% of the water rates. They get a 40% discount now.
We should have a plan for our houseless. Purchase or reuse public buildings. Start a mentoring program with this population.
Hire the houseless, when possible, to help clean our parks and public spaces.

Support our Environmental Tourism. Acknowledge we our contributing to climate change and have a plan to transition to a green economy.
I look up to Bernie Sanders, because he has not lost sight of what is important to the working people. He has been saying the same thing or advocating for the people for decades even when it wasn't popular. His campaign reminds us it's not about Me but about US. We now see a resurgence for unions because that is where our strength lies.
I remember when we landed in the moon. July 20, 1969. The whole world saw it on television. It was wonderful to be with my family and watch it together. We were in awe.
