Sylvia Taylor (Democratic Party) is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 57. She assumed office on January 8, 2024. Her current term ends on January 10, 2028.

Biography
Sylvia Taylor was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lives in LaPlace, Louisiana. Taylor graduated from Fifth Ward High School. She earned a bachelor's from Dillard University and a J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1974. Her career experience includes working as an attorney with New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation, executive director of Capital Area Legal Services in Baton Rouge, mediator for the State of Louisiana, and workers compensation judge in Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes.[1]
