A Syracuse Village Current Levy Replacement measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the village of Syracuse which is in Meigs County.
The measure was approved
- YES 186 (68.13%)
- NO 87 (31.87%)[1]
This measure sought to replace the current expenses levy with one set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the village.[2]

The question on the ballot:
A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Syracuse Village for the purpose of Current Expenses at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
