Campaign themes
2014
Corcoran's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]
Getting our Fair Share
- Excerpt: "If elected, my top priority will be fighting to change the funding formula and to get more tax revenue returned to our city to deal with the significant impacts we’re experiencing."
Funding our schools
- Excerpt: "If elected, one of my top 3 priorities will be to address the funding crisis our schools are facing. There is no reason Williston shouldn’t have the necessary funds to build more schools and attract and retain quality teachers."
Affordable Housing / Protecting our Seniors
- Excerpt: "In addition to the housing incentive fund, more needs to be done through tax incentives to not only incentivize the construction of affordable housing, but also to incentivize existing landlords to maintain or reduce their existing rents, especially when it comes to our seniors. We need to be much more proactive than reactive when it comes to dealing with this housing crisis."
