T.W. Shortt was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 10 of the Kentucky House of Representatives.[1]

Shortt was elected to the Radcliff Kentucky City Council in 2014 for the 2015-2016 term. He has been a licensed real estate broker since 1988, is a Vietnam veteran, and served in the U.S. Army for 20 years prior.[2]

I believe in smaller government, less taxation,limited government regulation and less interference in private business.

I believe that to develop social welfare programs , jobs programs, education programs, retirement systems and incentives programs without a clear and realistic plan to fund them is irresponsible. I believe in more transparency and accountability in government at all levels. I’m seeking the office of State Representative in the 10th District so that I can influences the outcomes related to these and others . Also, to advocate for stronger links between my district and state government to enhance economic development there. [7]
