T. Jackson Bedford
T. Jackson Bedford was a judge of the Fulton Circuit of Georgia.[1] His term expired in 2016.
Education
Bedford received his B.A. in international affairs from the University of Virginia, and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law. He was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1971[2][3]
Career
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Bedford served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970. He flew more than 100 combat support missions in the Vietnam war. After completing law school and prior to joining the superior court, Bedford worked in private practice for 23 years. He has also taught sporadically as an adjunct professor of advanced litigation skills at Emory Law.[4]

- The Atlanta Santa Project is a foundation, now co-sponsored by the Atlanta Bar Foundation, that arranges visits by Santas and elves to underprivileged children and hospitalized children in the greater Atlanta area. Bedford and his wife participate in the activities of the project, dressing up an visiting local children's oncology awards at Christmastime.[4]
2012 election
Bedford ran unopposed for re-election to the Fulton Superior Court.[5] He was re-elected after receiving 99.6% of the vote in the July 31 election.[6]
