Tamara A. "Tammy" O'Brien is a judge on the Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Akron, Ohio. She was appointed to the court in April 2011 by Governor John Kasich. O'Brien was then elected to the court in the November 2012 general election to serve out the remainder of an unexpired term, ending on December 31, 2014.[1] She ran for re-election to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division in 2014, winning a new term that expires on January 1, 2021.[2]

O'Brien ran for re-election to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division.
General: She defeated Ron Cable in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 61.4 percent of the vote. [3] 

2012

O'Brien was elected to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. She defeated Kathryn Michael in the general election on November 6, winning 55.35% of the vote.[4][5][6]

Education

O'Brien received her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in 1988 and her J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in 1992.[1][7]
