Tamara O'Brien appointed to Summit County court
April 4, 2011
Ohio: Governor John Kasich appointed Tamara A. "Tammy" O'Brien to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas last week. O'Brien fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Brenda Burnham Unruh in February 2011.
For over ten years, O'Brien has been a partner in an Akron law firm. She has also served as a staff attorney for the Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals and as an adjunct professor at the University of Akron.
The new judge must run for election to the seat in next year's General Election if she wishes to fulfill the remainder of the unfinished term, which expires on January 1, 2015.[1]
