Campaign Principles AMERICAN DEMOCRACY, PROTECT ELECTIONS & VOTER RIGHTS Tamie has fought for fair voting and fair maps. Tamie will continue to fight to protect this most sacred American right, so everyone has the ability to participate in choosing our leaders. She will fight to increase the amount of polling locations, to make the process safe and secure, and stop gerrymandering. Voting should be an easily accessible process that encourages people to do their civic duty to give power to the people and their voice. PROTECT ELECTIONS AND VOTER RIGHTS IMPROVE THE ECONOMY CREATE A SAFER AMERICA WOMEN’S RIGHTS I will fight to ensure women’s voices are heard and our rights protected. I vow to not only protect women’s rights, but also our bodies, our safety, our lives. I will be heard, and I will get things done. It amazes me women aren’t further along in 2021; what’s worse, it seems we’re going backwards. Women are smart and powerful. We see things differently than men. There’s a reason why men say they don’t understand how women think, they aren’t women. We need more female voices in government. We need more women, especially women of diversity, in Congress and that’s exactly why I’m running for office. Women with strong voices continue to get silenced, dismissed, and/or attacked with smear campaigns. As a collective, we need to stand up and fight harder than ever and make good trouble. We must protect our rights. Women continue to suffer domestic abuse, sexual harassment at work, sexual assault, human trafficking, etc.. Most cases, if heard, are dismissed. Legislation is rarely passed to protect and advance the quality of life personally and professionally for women. Let’s be honest, women are not a priority, we’re more of an afterthought. Most men do not wake up in morning and think, “How can I focus my day on improving the lives of women?” You know who does? I do! Everyday, I think of things that can and should be done to improve our quality of life personally and professionally. I know women. I know our challenges. Better yet, I know what needs to be done to improve our lives. If supporting and protecting women is important to you, I need your help, please support my campaign by sharing my message, volunteering, and donating. IMPROVE EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDREN Children are our future This is America. All of our children should receive the best education possible to make our country the strongest world leader. I will work as a partner with the school system to increase funding for public schools, hold charters accountable, stand up for the civil rights of educators and students, and enact policies that respect the professionalism of teachers and education support professionals. I will always be accessible to you as well. In addition, I have ideas I would like to see implemented to further enrich the lives of students. I strongly believe children are our future. They say, ‘Through the mouths of babes’ for a reason. Children are born pure, loving, and vulnerable. We are the ones who mold their thinking and are instrumental in the development of their character, so it is up to us to ensure they are well educated and equipped with a good education and the life skills needed to succeed. In a perfect world parents would teach their children to be good, fair, and of high moral character. They would also teach their children healthy communication skills, emotional intelligence, and financial literacy. They would equip children with the skills to reject negative projection, not seek negative attention, nor put themselves in compromising situations that could be dangerous. In a perfect world parents would express healthy love instilling self-confidence in their children, so they don’t look for love and attention in all the wrong places and become susceptible to predators. Most issues boil down to the lack of basic life skills I mentioned. Violence is a result of mental imbalance or lack of emotional intelligence coping skills; obviously, happy healthy people don’t feel the need to hurt or kill others. With that said, we must drill down deeper. What causes that mental imbalance? Yes, some people suffer severe mental illness and are on medication that can exacerbate their chemical imbalance which can cause them to execute acts of violence, but that’s not true for everyone. Some people are raised in violent homes, so it’s just their way of life. They don’t know how to get their needs met without violence. Some people become mentally imbalanced because of financial hardship. Enriching our children with the basic life skills they need to succeed in life is the first step to truly creating a more perfect America. Just imagine that world, a world full of more people living lives with more peace, love, happiness, and success. Wouldn’t that be nice? However, we all know we don’t live in a perfect world and parents can’t teach what they don’t know or struggle with themselves. But, what if we could live in a more perfect world? What if there were small changes, we could make to uplift communities and expand our educational system? Well, I have a plan for that, my Education Expansion Plan. Every schoolkid in America should receive an excellent education no matter what zip code they live in. Furthermore, every child should learn basic life skills from pre-k -12th grade. We should teach: 1. Mental Fitness – Everyone should have the skills to master their mental game. They should possess the mental skills to able to push through negative thinking and bounce back after disappointments or perceived failures. Everyone needs a healthy self-esteem to reach their full potential as a human. 2. Emotional Fitness – Everyone needs to know how to process their emotions, so they can deal with stress, anger, heartbreak, negative projection, etc. Children need to learn a healthy sense of self, self-love, and self respect, so they don’t develop co-dependent relationships with others which could land them in abusive relationships or other dangers. Empowering America’s children with Emotional Fitness will help reduce bullying, low self-esteem, child suicide, and school shootings. 3. Financial Literacy – If we want to lower the national debt, everyone needs to know how to balance a checkbook, budget, pay bills, live within their means, and make healthy invests in their future. 4. Healthy Communication Skills – Everyone needs to know how to communicate in a healthy manner. Everyone needs to know how to resolve conflict respectfully vs making personal attacks. Active listening, we all need to listen more and seek to understand one another. 5. Organization and Time Management Skills – Everyone needs to know how to organize their life, personal and professional spaces, tasks, and time. Employers want employees to show up on time and creditors want their bills paid on time. We can transform America by incorporating these 5 basic life skills into our education curriculum. EXPAND ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE SUPPORT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY HELP SMALL BUSINESSES SUCCEED ADVOCATE FOR VETERANS & MILITARY PROTECT SENIORS Tamie will always protect social security and Medicare. She will work to get the cap kites off of social security, so it becomes solvent. ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE & PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT None of us want a Flint Michigan water crisis in Ohio or anywhere else in the country. Everyone deserves clean water. Our bodies are made of 50-70% water. Years ago, my uncle contracted polio from contaminated water. Our children should be able to safely play in water in our backyards. I know several people who lived in proximity to a power plant that died of cancer. Breathing clean air is just a human right as well. I will combat the climate crisis and take necessary steps to protect our environment to ensure we have clean air, energy, and water. In cases like this, we must move past the opposition to save lives. Join me in this fight to secure a future with clean air, energy, and water for all. COMMON-SENSE SAFETY MEASURES and SUPPORT 2ND AMENDMENT Everyone wants and needs to feel safe in their home and community. Over 39,000 people die from gun violence every year-that’s over a 100 a day! We can do better. We need to talk about common-sense gun laws. We need to look at some of the key issues like the purchasing process, mental health screening, criminal background checks, black market guns, socio-economic inequality to name a few. We need to have common-sense solutions, that will save lives, that no one in Washington is addressing in a meaningful way.” I SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT ADVOCATE FOR THE DISABLED COMMUNITY FIGHT FOR FAIR TAXES FOR ALL LOVE & RESPECT FOR ALL OHIOANS MAKE COLLEGE AFFORDABLE COMBAT THE OPIOID CRISIS ADVOCATE FOR AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL COMMUNITIES I STAND WITH THE LGBTQIA COMMUNITY FIGHT FOR AMERICAN WORKERS |

Lower Gas Prices & Inflation "We all feel the financial hit at the pump. I’ve had to stop and think strategically about where and when I go places. I’m sure you have too." While Jim Jordan plays the blame game and stops legislation HR7688 Consumer Price Gouging Prevention Act, which would stop gas price gouging, Tamie is offering solutions. Although Tamie shares the goal of transitioning renewable forms of energy, the reality is that gas and diesel are still important in driving the economy. Due to the war in Ukraine, global gas and diesel prices are rising and are now fueling inflation here and abroad. We need to do more now to soften gas and diesel prices while the administration works for longer term solutions. Tamie whole-heartedly supports the Administration’s decision to tap into the strategic petroleum reserves, this is not enough. She now calls on the President to immediately give Americans a holiday from the national gas tax as we head into the summer vacation, construction and farming season. This will save 18 cents a gallon on gas and 24 cents a gallon on diesel prices which translate into lower prices in many sectors, including food and construction supplies.
Voting is the cornerstone of our Democracy. Tamie has fought for fair voting and fair maps.
Amazon made $33 million per hour during COVID in 2020, yet millions of Americans were losing jobs and going hungry. Tamie is a single mother and small business owner. She’s as infuriated as you are that we pay taxes and corporations like Amazon doesn’t. Tamie’s heart breaks when she think of all the suffering in our country. Child hunger and homelessness rates are extremely high. Tamie will do everything she can to make sure everyone pays their fair share.
Physical safety, survival, is our utmost basic of all human needs. The rise in violence such as mass shootings, domestic terrorism, school shootings, domestic violence, police brutality, etc. compromise us all. Only 9 states receive funding to combat domestic violence. Tamie has spoken with several experts, and has created a comprehensive plan to reduce violence in America. Tamie is excited to go to Washington and present the ideas that no one in Washington is discussing.
"With Roe v Wade overturned, it's never been more important for me to win this race in OH-04 and expand our pro-choice majority in the House!" Even though women make over 50% of the population in the United States, we’re still treated as a minority. Women deserve equal pay for their work regardless of sex or race. Women deserve the right to choose what’s best for their bodies and healthcare. We need better laws in place to protect us from sexual harassment at work, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Tamie will fight to protect women’s voices, rights, and lives.
Tamie is a former military wife and has many friends and family members who are veterans. Tamie has lived the military life. Tamie knows how heartbreaking it is to wonder if your loved one is dead or alive. Tamie is also well aware of the mental and physical health challenges our veterans struggle with, let alone the distance they have to travel to receive healthcare. Tamie will be a strong advocate for our military members, their families, and especially our veterans.
We want our seniors to have food and shelter. We want our seniors to get the medical and pharmaceutical care they need, so they can see their grandchildren grow up. Social Security and Medicare are needed programs, with more than half of seniors relying on them exclusively for retirement. We are proud hardworking Americans. Our tax dollars fund Social Security and Medicare. Tamie will always fight to protect your lifelong investment, your legacy.
Ohio has experienced numerous shutdowns, layoffs, and job losses. Tamie is committed to increasing jobs and wages. Tamie supports unions and their fight to protect workers and their rights. Tamie will support our factories and manufacturers by fighting for fair trade, so they can continue to provide jobs and help communities thrive.
"Our farmers are the backbone of our country. Farmers dedicate their lives to feeding America which is a noble calling. I want to support farmers because being sure we can feed our country is a national security issue. We don’t want to be dependent on any other country to feed our people and there is no reason we should." Tamie supports anti-trust in the meat industry. It’s important to address soil health: we need to regenerate agriculture farming practices to improve the quality of soil. Further USDA regenerative agriculture practices will also reduce expenses.
LGBTQ+ community members deserve to have the same rights as everyone else.
"No matter where we live or how old we are, we all want to get the care and medications we need for ourselves and our loved ones when we’re sick and to prevent sickness and disease." Instead of making healthcare more affordable and accessible, Jim Jordan supports privatizing Medicare, opposes lower prescription drug prices, and rejects tax rebates to bring down our costs. Here in Ohio’s 4th district, everyone deserves good health care no matter their age, background, or zip code. And Tamie knows that your health, safety, and well-being depend on it. That’s why she will fight to make affordable healthcare and lower prescription drug prices available to everyone and to expand access to the care you need when you need it – so we can take care of ourselves, our loved ones, and each other, no exceptions.
Everyone knows small businesses and manufacturers are the backbone of our economy. As a small business owner herself, Tamie is very aware of the challenges small business owners face. Tamie will do everything she can to help small businesses succeed.
Tamie loves kids. She strongly believe children are our future. Children are born pure, loving, and vulnerable. We’re the ones who mold their thinking and are instrumental in the development of their character. It is up to us to ensure children receive a good education; as well as, the life skills needed to succeed regardless of the zip code they live in.[2] |
