Tammy D. Geathers

Tammy D. Geathers is a judge of the New Britain District Superior Court in Connecticut.[1][2] She was nominated on March 14, 2014, by Governor Dannel P. Malloy. She was confirmed by the Connecticut General Assembly the following April 25 for a term that expires in 2022.[3][4][5]
Education
Geathers earned an undergraduate degree from Howard University, and a J.D. from University of Connecticut, School of Law.[2]
Career
Geathers served as an assistant attorney general with the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General from 2001 until she became a superior court judge in 2014. Before 2001, she served as an assistant public defender with the Office of the Public Defender for the State of Connecticut. Prior to that, Geathers worked in the City of Atlanta Public Defender’s Office.[2]
