I am a believer in Jesus Christ, wife, mother and grandmother. I was a broiler farmer (64,000 capacity) for 14 years.

I became a nurse in 1997, eventually acquiring an MNSc, working as a nurse educator at UAHT for 13 years. In my retirement, I volunteer at Christian clinic, with our TRADE jail ministry, and short term missions to Liberia, West Africa. My faith in God, my family’s well being, my local Christian community and my personal commitments as a small business owner direct my daily activities and decisions. I am not a politician! For the priorities I just listed, I cannot be apathetic to the times we find ourselves in.

My husband is running for the overlapping (4th) district state senate seat. We feel led (James 1:27 & 4:17) by current situations within our districts, as well as the oppressive government overreach and mismanagement across agencies and employees! We step out in faith that we can be used to the Glory of God and the Betterment of our Fellow Arkansans.
  • My first message is not necessarily my highest priority, but if I am separating my convictions concerning public policy leanings into three 'key messages', I will begin with the subject of influences.
    • The field of political discussions and decisions is saturated with financial and compulsory influences, driven by favor for financial gain ~ I come to this election with NO outside financial support, pledging to remain self-supporting throughout the campaign.
    • The arena of influence to comply and obey mandates is so extreme, obliged to walk in lockstep with extreme and socially damaging ideologies ~ I hold strong to our individual human sovereignty and to the rule of law.
    • My second message is my concern for protecting those who are fragile (James 1:27)
    • The most fragile, those still inside the womb deserve our intervention. ~ By interrupting the profit for the products of abortion, the political fight for rights looses momentum
    • The innocence of children is being assaulted from many sides; attack from child trafficking and pornography, attack from public education literature, attack from the ills of social media. ~ By standing strong to enforce laws and voting for punishments to be enforced to the full & supporting our governor in her efforts for saving our youth’s innocence from media
    • My third message is concerning our addicted population. Though addiction is complex and individual, there is an overriding commonality.

When the addicting substance is illegal, many times it results in DUI or arrest for possession, or other drug use-related activities. Our current criminal system is in disarray in relation to programs, probation and parole. For the substance offender, drug court requirements and laws must be deliberate and enforced completely, AND they must be enforced without double-standard or prejudice!

In our jail ministry, I have learned the system is not currently designed for the overall success of the released offender...& I know we can better!
As my messages convey, my passion is in relation to ~ first and foremost my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and reliance on His Holy Word for direction in all things!

My passion is for the innocent, who are unable to be heard, from the womb to the elderly, my heart is ready to defend and protect the fragile and unprotected.
My passion is for the attempted demise of all things that promote a healthy family/society; the traditional family unit, the sovereignty of human life as we were created, and without government overreach.

My passion within politics is to pursue a return to a legislature where the people have a voice that is not bought and paid for.
Truly!! Jesus Christ, He is the only one worthy of my adoration!
My pastor (2nd father) Dan Hill. His drive to spread the gospel and truths from God's word to the ends of the earth. He is an Acts 1:8 Christian!
Honesty, compassion, tenacity, faithfulness, missions heart, healthcare understanding and a frugal approach to life
That I loved the Lord and lived my whole life as unto Him!
Around 3 years old, I fell and tore open my lip, and had to go to the emergency room and be wrapped in a sheet to suture my lip
The Bible; it is my daily roadmap
I have had problems with my lower back and hips, with surgery to the right hip in November. This has slowed me down physically, and I am used to doing whatever I set my mind to. I am proactively pursuing strengthening of my lower body and better physical health.
Drug addiction, financial hardships of lower income families and individuals, and the influx of illegal immigrants
Experience in a specific area is always valuable, and wisdom-building. As a Retired Registered Nurse, Poultry Farmer, Pine Tree Sappling Planter and short term missionary, I feel my life work experiences have abundantly equipped me to legislate with wisdom
I cannot imagine functioning in this role without relationships amongst the legislature. At the same time, I realize that I am from MY district and I must be autonomous in my resolve to hold any line necessary.
Rand Paul, he has a consistent approach, level head, speaks truth and his convictions unapologetically
In my life I have seen so much that motivates and inspires me! I have seen people rise from dire circumstance to soar again!
I have seen many that I care for raising grandchildren, almost exclusively due to drug addiction of the child's parents. I am impacted by their selflessness and commit to be on their side in this war of drugs!
I don't know that I have one...
Truth in healthcare and respect for the human organism
Chidren's safety & well being, stopping sexual crimes, finance, healthcare
At the state level, government agencies/offices should have their budget published for public review.
As with any government process, when components aren't working, the process is amended, and so on... resulting in huge, unmanageable law. The process currently, though maybe fair, is so laborious few can navigate, this results in the people of Arkansas not being heard!
