I have been a representative in the House for the past 4 years and ran for office because my strict was needing better representation, a voice for the people and someone who could lead and be effective. I have lived in Idaho for over 40 years, I have 5 children who all have attended school in the Middleton School District. I have a science degree from BYU-I and run my own small business in property management. I have always been involved in my community and church in various service-oriented areas. I enjoy my beautiful state and don’t want to see it slip down the same path as so many other states have.

I am very troubled by what I see happening in America and strongly believe that part of the problem is the disconnect that has transpired between the people and government. We have a government by, of and for the people, but if they are not part of it, then it cannot function correctly. I have worked hard to connect the people back in and teaching them how to be involved. I stand and take the arrows to protect our freedoms and to be a voice for my constituents.

  • The Senate has been a place where good legislation has gone to die, it is time to change that
  • I take the arrows to protect and stand for our rights and will continue that over in the Senate.
  • The voice of the people needs to be heard and represented, not ignored. I have been and will continue to be that voice.
1. Taxes and spending: All taxes, budgets, and spending need to be reigned in, Idahoans are paying too much to the government, and the tax system is very complicated.
2. Health Freedom: We learned quickly how important it is to protect our health freedom. We also found out how easily it can be taken away. We must maintain our freedoms in our health and the health of our loved ones.
3. Education: I have had the opportunity to work with many families throughout the state who are greatly concerned with education. In fact, education (Common Core) is what got me involved in politics. School choice, cost, indoctrination, teaching environment, learning, and parental rights are of great concern.
I have and will continue to work on each of these.
My mom has always been a excellent example to me about being a strong woman. She was the primary bread winner in our family because my father was ill for most of my life. She worked really hard and taught me how to have a good work ethic, to think outside of the box and how to handle challenges.
I can still remember sitting in my class watching the Challenger Space Launch and the terrible explosion that happened. I was 10 years old at the time.
I started working at age 6 in my families businesses helping to clean up and get things ready for the next day. My first job outside of my families businesses was a courtesy clerk at my local Albertson's store. I worked there for a couple of years.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Idaho

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Idaho scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
