I’m running for office to remind you that WE, Missourians, are the State government. We must speak loudly, vote, and contest every seat to preserve our democracy and human rights. We deserve better. You deserve better. Together, we can rebuild Missouri.
Leaders must be willing to listen to the voters so they can understand what people need.
Leaders work with experts and community members to implement funding and solutions to housing, education, transportation, internet connectivity and healthcare needs.
Every budget report and campaign report must be available upon request or online. Campaign reports are available on the Missouri Ethics Commission website.
The Missouri State Initiative Process is a 150 year old democratic tradition that allowed Missouri voters to expand Medicaid, legalize medical and recreational marijuana, and increase our minimum wage. Leave it alone.

Tara is a life-long Missourian. She was raised in the Ozarks and Southeast Missouri by a family of military service members and who love the outdoors. She currently resides in Rolla. She believes that shelter, food, water, education, and healthcare are human rights. People come before massive corporate or military profits. Racism is systemic. None are equal until all are equal.

She's struggled with a chronic illness and has listened to many other disabled Missourians. She understands that universal healthcare and strong social systems are needed for every American to survive. That's why she volunteered with Missouri Healthcare for All from 2019 to 2020 to collect signatures and get Medicaid expansion on the ballot then passed. During Bernie Sanders's presidential campaign, she went to Iowa and then trained Rolla volunteers who talked with residents about universal healthcare.

Tara graduated from Missouri public schools including Southeast Missouri State University. She believes that education from pre-k to trade school is fundamental to democracy. Tara has worked in veteran's services, restaurants, and public education. She’s a published poet and author. Currently, she lives in Rolla and is dedicated to early childhood literacy. She's "Ms. Tara" the local children's library clerk and storyteller.

  • We need a system of guaranteed healthcare that prioritizes the well being of Americans over the profits of insurance companies and their billionaire executives.
  • Education is the backbone of democracy. Fully fund public schools to provide safe buildings, music and art classes, and fair teacher pay.
  • Diverse culture, ethnicity, religion, relationships and abilities makes America stronger. Equity is freedom from bias or favoritism.
Universal Healthcare. Early childhood literacy. Civil and Human Rights. Reproductive justice.
I will listen to the voices of my constituents especially when they vote on an issue. They voted for Medicaid expansion and I will fight to fund it. I will put their medical care, education, housing, and pay above corporations.
As a young teen, my sister and I babysat for a group of six children. One of those children was autistic and non-verbal. My cousin Jeff, who has down syndrome, is also non-verbal so I was able to make friends with the boy in my care. As an adult in Texas County, MO, I was a substitute para-professional and personal aid in public schools.
Asking an avid reader and library clerk to pick just one book is not possible. Currently, it's The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill.
Updating and fortifying our infrastructures such as water, sewer, roads, buildings, and energy grid to be sustainable through the climate crisis.
A high school senior who worked at Sonic in Texas County told me she was providing for herself and her disabled father. She was earning a minimum wage and they barely survived. An elderly woman had retired from her career but needed a part-time job to survive. Corporations and conservatives consider fast food to be unskilled labor for teens who only need low pay for fun activities. The reality is Missourians need a living wage, a higher wage, to afford food, shelter, utilities, and medical assistance.
Communication is necessary for desirable policymaking. The Missouri majority leadership though is compromising our lives by putting profit over people. I won't give an inch away of our civil and human rights.
